About me

Paws for Change was founded by Jenna Kiddie BSc MSc PhD in 2012. I have a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc Hons Zoology), a Masters degree (MSc) in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare and a PhD in quality of life assessment and kennelled dog welfare. I have 8 years of practical experience providing behavioural consultations and rehabilitation training to owners whose pets are performing undesirable or inappropriate behaviours. I have worked for animal welfare charities providing education, and evidence-based advice and guidance to staff and volunteers, the general public and to government departments regarding animal behaviour and welfare issues, including responsible pet ownership, for example via community outreach events. As a freelance writer, I have also written articles and factsheets on various animal behaviour and welfare topics. I am also an experienced researcher and have been principal investigator for a number of independent research projects.
